On July 6, 2020, SAIC Group released a June production and sales report. In the month, 479,000 vehicles were sold, a year-on-year increase of 2.8%. Following the positive year-on-year retail sales in April and the positive year-on-year domestic wholesale sales in May, SAIC’s domestic and international full-caliber wholesale sales achieved positive growth in June, with a growth of 101.8% in the second quarter from the first quarter, and the company’s economic operations showed a steady upward trend.

In the first half of this year, SAIC Group actively responded to the crisis, looking for opportunities in crisis, grabbing consumption hot spots, and activating market sales. The Roewe RX5 PLUS, equipped with the latest intelligent interconnection technology (Banma Zhixing VENUS system), has been on the market for less than a month, and sales are approaching the 10,000 mark.

The overseas sales of the MG brand exceeded 70,000 vehicles from January to June, an increase of 37% year-on-year. Sales in the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand, and the United Kingdom increased significantly. SAIC MAXUS achieved sales of 68,000 vehicles from January to June, a year-on-year increase of 8.4%. In the field of wide-body light passenger vehicles, it continued to maintain its industry leading edge. The SAIC-Volkswagen Volkswagen brand achieved sales of 529,000 vehicles in the first half of the year, continuing to be the domestic single-brand sales champion. The Cadillac brand sold 23,000 vehicles in June, a year-on-year increase of 8.4%, which promoted the continuous optimization of SAIC-GM's product sales structure. In the first half of the year, the market share of SAIC-GM-Wuling mini-cars increased by 2% year-on-year. Wuling Hongguang MINI EV pure electric vehicles started pre-sales at the end of May, and orders exceeded 30,000 units within one month. SAIC Hongyan actively seized the opportunity in the heavy truck market. In the first half of the year, its sales volume reached 39,000, a year-on-year increase of 24.5%, which was ahead of the industry average.
